Terms of Service

Version 2026-10-01

Highlighted passages (16) are waiting for an owner decision or legal review and are not final. Everything else describes how Flowyn works today.

1. Who these terms are with

These Terms of Service (the "Terms") are an agreement between you and Pending owner decision: legal name, registration number and registered address of the company that operates Flowyn ("Flowyn", "we", "us"). If you accept them for a company or other organization, you confirm that you can bind it, and "you" means that organization.

You accept these Terms by ticking the acceptance box when you create a workspace, or when we ask you to accept an updated version. We record which version you accepted, when, and from which network address, so that both of us can show what was agreed.

The Data Processing Addendum (the "DPA") and the Acceptable Use Policy form part of these Terms. The Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data as a controller; it is a notice, not a contract term.

2. The service

Flowyn provides developer infrastructure through a dashboard at app.flowyn.dev and an API at api.flowyn.dev: file storage and document conversion, durable HTTP jobs and schedules, event intake and webhook delivery, uptime monitors, feature flags, and records of agent runs, approvals and telemetry that you send to it (together, the "Service").

Flowyn runs work on your behalf. When you create a job, a webhook endpoint, a monitor or a schedule, Flowyn sends HTTP requests to the destinations you configure, with the headers and bodies you configure, and retries them as documented. You decide what is sent and where.

Flowyn does not run your AI agents and does not call AI model providers on your behalf. The agent features record what your own systems report. See section 9.

We may change the Service. If a change removes a feature you use on a paid plan in a materially adverse way, we will tell you in advance through the dashboard or by email. Pending legal review: confirm notice period for adverse changes

3. Accounts and workspaces

  • Sign-in is provided by Clerk. You are responsible for keeping your sign-in methods secure and for everything done through your account.
  • A workspace belongs to the organization that created it. Workspace owners decide who is a member and what members can do.
  • Programmatic access uses Flowyn API keys. A key is shown once when it is created. Flowyn stores only a hash of each key and its last four characters, so a lost key cannot be recovered; revoke it and create a new one.
  • Keys starting flw_test_ act on the test environment and keys starting flw_live_ act on the live environment. Live work can have real effects on the systems you call.
  • You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a contract to use the Service.

4. Your content and your responsibilities

"Customer Data" means the files, events, job and webhook requests, headers, bodies, monitor targets, flag rules, agent records and other content you or your systems submit to the Service, and the results Flowyn produces from them. You keep all rights in Customer Data. You give Flowyn the rights it needs to store, process, transmit and display Customer Data to provide, secure and support the Service for you, and for no other purpose.

  • You are responsible for having the rights and any notices or consents needed to submit Customer Data and to have Flowyn send it to the destinations you configure.
  • You are responsible for the systems you tell Flowyn to call, including that you are allowed to call them at the rate and with the content you configure.
  • Do not put secrets in places Flowyn does not encrypt. Job headers (including Authorization headers), job and event bodies, endpoint URLs and alert targets are stored as you send them so that they can be replayed and shown back to you. Webhook signing secrets, provider credentials and OAuth tokens are encrypted by Flowyn before storage.
  • Do not submit special categories of personal data, health data, payment card data or government identifiers unless you have assessed that the Service is appropriate for it. Flowyn offers no HIPAA business associate agreement and is not PCI DSS certified.

5. Acceptable use

You must follow the Acceptable Use Policy. We may suspend specific resources, API keys or a workspace when that is reasonably necessary to stop a violation, protect the Service or other customers, or comply with law. Where it is lawful and practical we will tell you first and give you a chance to fix the problem; otherwise we will tell you promptly afterwards.

6. Plans, credits and payment

  • The Starter plan is free and needs no card. Paid plans and their prices, monthly credit allowances and history windows are listed on flowyn.dev/pricing at the time you subscribe.
  • Paid plans are sold through Dodo Payments, which acts as the merchant of record. Dodo Payments takes your payment details, charges you, issues invoices and handles sales tax under its own terms and privacy policy. Flowyn never receives your card number.
  • Subscriptions renew each billing period until cancelled. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period; the workspace then returns to Starter allowances without deleting workspace data.
  • Unused credits do not roll over. Usage beyond your allowance is handled as described on the pricing page and in your workspace billing settings.
  • Refunds are handled by Dodo Payments under its refund policy and any rights you have by law. Pending legal review: confirm refund wording against the Dodo Payments merchant-of-record terms and consumer law where consumers can subscribe

7. Data protection

When Flowyn processes personal data inside Customer Data, it does so as your processor under the DPA. When Flowyn processes personal data about you and your users for its own purposes (accounts, billing, security, support, and the website), it does so as a controller under the Privacy Policy.

8. Third-party services you connect

If you connect a third-party service (for example a Slack, Discord or Linear alert channel, a GitHub repository, or an AI provider credential), Flowyn interacts with that service only as you configure it. Your use of that service is governed by your agreement with its provider, and that provider is not Flowyn's subprocessor for that traffic.

9. Agent and AI features

  • Agent runs, approvals and telemetry are records your systems send to Flowyn. Flowyn stores and displays them; it does not execute your agent, choose its actions or send prompts to a model for you.
  • If you save an AI provider credential, Flowyn encrypts it and uses it only when you ask Flowyn to test it. The test lists available models from the provider. Flowyn does not send prompts with your credential.
  • Flowyn has optional built-in assistance features (for example explaining an error). They are switched off. If we switch them on, we will update the Privacy Policy and the subprocessor list first and tell workspace owners before any Customer Data is sent to an AI model provider. Pending owner decision: decide whether workspaces must opt in before built-in AI features process their data
  • Flowyn does not train machine learning models on Customer Data.

10. Availability and support

We work to keep the Service available and to deliver work at least once, as documented. During the Beta we do not offer a service level agreement or service credits. Pending owner decision: decide whether paid plans get an SLA; if so, publish it and reference it here

Support is available at support@flowyn.dev and through the dashboard support page.

11. Confidentiality and security

Each party will protect the other's non-public information with reasonable care and use it only for this agreement. Flowyn's security measures are described in the Security page and the DPA. We do not hold SOC 2, ISO 27001 or similar certifications of our own.

12. Suspension and termination

  • You can stop using the Service at any time. A workspace owner can delete a workspace from Settings once no paid subscription is active.
  • We may terminate these Terms for convenience on Pending owner decision: notice period notice, or immediately if you materially breach them and do not cure the breach within Pending owner decision: cure period after notice, or if required by law.
  • When a workspace is deleted, Flowyn deletes its database records and the bytes of its stored files. Some records are kept as described in the Privacy Policy, for example billing records, legal acceptance records and error logs.
  • Before you delete a workspace or the Terms end, download anything you want to keep. The API returns your resources, files can be downloaded, and operations can be exported from the dashboard. Flowyn does not yet offer a one-click export of an entire workspace; contact support if you need help.

13. Warranties and disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, Flowyn disclaims all implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. Flowyn does not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that any particular delivery will succeed on the first attempt. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have by law that cannot be limited. Pending legal review: adapt for consumers and for the governing law chosen

14. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, neither party is liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue or data, and each party's total liability under these Terms is limited to Pending owner decision: liability cap, for example the fees you paid in the 12 months before the claim, with a fixed minimum for free plans.

These limits do not apply to liability that cannot be limited by law, to your payment obligations, or to Pending legal review: carve-outs such as breach of confidentiality, indemnity obligations and data protection obligations.

15. Indemnity

Pending legal review: decide whether to include mutual or customer-only indemnities (for example for Customer Data and for traffic sent to systems the customer is not authorized to call) and draft them

16. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms, the DPA and the Acceptable Use Policy. Each document shows its version date. When a change is material we will tell workspace owners in advance and ask you to accept the new version in the dashboard. Until you accept, your workspace keeps running: existing API keys, jobs, schedules, webhooks and monitors are not paused, and you can still use Settings and Billing to export, cancel or delete. Creating new API keys and starting new commitments wait until you accept. Pending legal review: confirm advance-notice period for material changes

17. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by Pending owner decision: governing law. Disputes will be resolved in Pending owner decision: courts or arbitration venue. Pending legal review: consumer jurisdiction rules if consumers can subscribe

18. General

  • These Terms, with the DPA, the Acceptable Use Policy and any order you place, are the whole agreement about the Service.
  • If a provision is unenforceable, the rest stays in effect.
  • You may not assign these Terms without our consent, except to a successor of your business. We may assign them to a successor of ours with notice.
  • Neither party is liable for delays caused by events beyond its reasonable control.
  • Notices to Flowyn go to support@flowyn.dev Pending owner decision: confirm a legal notices address. Notices to you go to the email of the workspace owner.
